Salisbury Steak Smothered with Mushrooms


Very quick to make and only
220 Calories per serving

Ingredients:
1 can (14 ounce) less the sodium, beef broth
3 Tbsp. flour
3/8 tsp. salt, divided
1/2 cup pic-ante sauce, divided
12 ounces ground sirloin
3 Tbsp. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg
cooking spray
1/2 package (8 ounce) pre-sliced mushrooms

Directions:
Combine beef broth, flour, and
1/8 tsp. of salt in a small bowl,
then stir with a whisk.
Add 1/4 cup of pic-ante sauce
and stir well.
Set broth mixture aside.

Combine the beef, breadcrumbs, egg,
remaining 1/4 cup pic-ante sauce, and
the remaining 1/4 tsp. salt in a large bowl.
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions,
shaping each into a 1/2 inch thick patty.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium
heat, then coat the pan with cooking spray.

Add the meet patties and cook for 5 minutes
on each side or until done. Remove from
the from the pan,cover and set aside.

Add mushrooms to the pan and saute
for 2 minutes or until browned.

Add the broth mixture to the pan and bring
to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes or until
slightly thick, stirring constantly.

Return the meet patties to the pan,
and cook until thoroughly heated.
Serve with garlic potatoes, and your favorite
veggie for a great meal.
